Alia Bhatt gears up for Met Gala debut with adorable companion by her side, and it’s not who you think!

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt is set to debut at the prestigious Met Gala in 2023. The annual fashion event, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, is considered one of the most exclusive events in the fashion calendar, and attracts a host of A-list celebrities from around the world. As the event is around the corner, Alia shared a glimpse of preparation while posing with her companion for the fashion’s biggest night out.

On Saturday, the actress-turned-producer took to her verified Instagram handle and dropped two photos on the story section. Besides her, the images featured her beloved cat, Edward. The first photo captures the actress with her back turned to the camera while holding her cat. She can be seen sporting a black strapless gown. She captioned the image with “Prepping for the Met…”

In the following photo, the Darlings actress is seen showering love and kisses on her cat Edward, and captioned the picture with “with my own Coup-Ed.” Having said that, it is worth mentioning here that Alia’s debut at the Met Gala will come before her first foray into Hollywood with the film Heart of Stone, directed by Tom Harper. The movie is set to be the first in a series similar to Mission Impossible, starring Tom Cruise.

Ahead of making her debut at the Met Gala, Alia Bhatt took to her social media handle and gave a sneak peek into her prep.

Speaking of Met Gala 2023, it will take place on May 1 in New York City, (which is May 2 in India). The grand event will celebrate the opening of the Costume Institute exhibition, Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.

Coming back to Alia, the 30-year-old actress was last seen in Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, which was released in September last year. Along with her Hollywood debut, she has a bunch of Bollywood films in her kitty, including the Karan Johar directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa.
