Innocent passes away at 75; Mohanlal, Dulquer Salmaan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and others share condolence messages

Being one of the most celebrated comedians and former MP, Innocent was one of the beloved celebrities of the Malayalam industry. The 75-year-old well-respected actor breathed his last on March 27 in Kochi. He was admitted to a private hospital a day ago and according to the hospital authorities’ statement, the actor was diagnosed with COVID-19, which further aggravated into respiratory issues and then, multiple organ failure.

Innocent, who made his debut way back in 1972, has worked alongside some of the biggest names from the Malayalam industry and was one of the most respected actors in their industry. From Mohanlal to Dulquer Salmaan, many actors took to social media to share their condolence messages.

 For Mohanlal, Innocent has been one of the actors who has been associated with most of his films. The superstar penned an emotional note in Malayalam and posted it on Facebook saying, “What to say my Innocent… Just like that name innocently spreading laughter, love and comfort to the whole world, holding those who are with you like a brother, being with you no matter what, the shadow and caress of your separation, I don’t know how to put it into words. My mind is still telling me to believe that it didn’t go away. My Innocent will be with me forever with that innocent smile, love and rebuke every moment. Wherever you are, you will still find yourself here to run to for anything…”
